The Illig Brand
Illig was created after World War II in 1946 when Adolf Illig founded a small repair shop in Germany. Thanks to the development of this small business would be developed the famous R650, in the sixties, known as the first automatic vacuum forming machine for lids production.
Three years later, the first automatic high-speed pressure forming machine was created and the RDM series was born. In the seventies, Illig decided to design its first packaging line, these several innovations allowing the manufacturer to conquer overseas markets. In 1984, the tilt technology was used in the thermoforming machines notably in the RDM 50K model.
Today, Illig is one of the top manufacturers of thermoforming and packaging machines of the world. The company hires no less than 750 employees and has a customer center of 700 m2.
The SB 53 Model
The SB 53 machines handle the rolling and sheeting operations. The packaging machine has a vacuum former option that provides a pneumatical pre-stretching of material.
